There are many wonderful beaches in India. Some of the most fabulous ones are located in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and in Kerala region. You will be thrilled by the crystal clear water of the sea, silky white sands, exciting water sports activities and a lovely atmosphere. While some of those beaches are popular among the tourists, some of them are more quiet, peaceful and less crowded. So, here is the list of most beautiful beaches in India.
This beach is located on Havelock Island and listed as one of the world’s and India’s best beaches many times. The turquoise water of the sea is amazing and the view is like a postcard. Sea is crystal clear so it is very suitable for snorkelling. Also, scuba diving is very popular in Radhanagar. The nature is so beautiful on the island and many people have a walk among the palm trees and enjoy the exotic atmosphere.
Especially honeymoon couples prefer Bharatpur beach located on Andaman and Nicobar Islands. You can have long romantic walks on this beach or go swimming. There are also interesting activities available here. For example, you can buy a ticket for boat which has windows on the base floor. So, you can observe the underwater world and spend some time with the colourful fishes and gorgeous corals. It will be an unforgettable experience for you. Especially if you don’t like diving, this will be a great chance for you to observe the fauna.
This beach is also on Havelock Island. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place and the serenity is your main concern than Kalapathar Beach is perfect for you. It is not one of the most touristic ones but very beautiful at the same time. You can have long sun-baths on the beach, relax, read your book and enjoy the silence.
Vijaynagar Beach is one of the best beaches in India. Besides swimming, surfing is very popular on this beach. The sea is shallow in here and this is why this beach is very suitable for surfing. While many tourists come here for surfing, many of them prefer this beach for photography. Combination of green and blue is amazing on Vijaynagar Beach.
This beach is located in Diglipur which is the biggest city of the Island North Andaman. The interesting fact about this beach is the chance of observing turtles in their natural life. Turtles leave their eggs on Kalipur Beach and watching little turtles go out from their eggs and trying to reach the sea is an amazing experience. If you like animals especially turtles, you add this beach to your holiday plans in India.
It is located on Andaman and Nicobar Islands called Havelock Island and its blue water is heavenly. If you have a snorkel, you will definitely enjoy your time in the sea. If not, be sure that you take one before going to Elephant beach, otherwise, you will miss a lot. Varkala is also located in Kerala province but more silent and relaxing spot when we compare to the Kovalam. Although it is a popular beach in India, it is less crowded and usually preferred by yoga lovers and romantic couples. Varkala beach is located at the bottom of cliffs and these cliffs give a unique ambience to the beach. Keep in mind that, Varkala Beach is a nice spot for photography, especially during sunset.
Marari Beach is located in Kerala and one of the most beautiful and quiet beaches in India. It is a perfect place to chill and relax. It is not a well-organised beach so you can enjoy pure nature and have a long walk. It is a nice place to get rid of your daily stresses and enjoy your holiday in India.
Poovar Beach is in Kerala region. It is not one of the most popular ones but one of the adorable beaches. Wildlife is very well reserved in here so it is possible to observe natural flora and fauna and many kinds of species. Therefore it is a special beach and you can capture some nice moments at Poovar beach.
This beach is famous for its sunsets and it is located on Andaman Islands. Another great thing about this beach is the birds. There are many endemic birds, especially during sunrise and sunset. Therefore, Chidiyatapu Beach is famous for birdwatching. This is why it is also popular among photographers. Combination of lovely birds and magnificent sunset view is really amazing.
It is one of the beaches that Vaco de Gama discovered and located in Kerala. It is not a very popular spot for tourists so you can prefer this beach for a unique experience. There are many interesting rock formations on the beach. Also, there is an ancient temple just next to Kappad Beach. You can visit there and feel an impressive atmosphere. If your aim is not just lying on the beach all they long and if you would like to discover some special things about the Kerala region than Kappad Beach is a nice choice for you.
